January 27, 2014 Announcements: 1. A service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for the life of Barbara Dixon Phelps will be held at the church today at 11:00 am. A light lunch will follow. 2. Pastor Mike is interested in doing a 7 – week study of the Gospel of Mark and would like some feedback on the best times to offer such a study. Please let the office know if you would be interested in a morning study (and best day for you-Fridays are not available), afternoon study (2-3:30 ish) & best day (no Friday) and/or an evening study-options available: Wednesday “Boost My Week” study, Monday “Staying on the Road” study. Please send any other suggestions you might have. 3. Please join the churchs Book Club for our February meeting, particularly if you are not planning to watch the Super Bowl! We will meet on Sunday, February 2 at 6:00 p.m. at the church library. Our reading selection is Kisses from Katie: A Story of Relentless Love and Redemption, by Katie J. Davis and Beth Clark.
