Japan and Cambodia will establish a working group to study and implement strategies to increase the trade Ambassador Yuji Kumamaru discussed with Minister Sun strategies for trade development and the creation of a working group to study and execute the strategies to increase in trade volumes between the two countries. On July 25, 2014 at the Ministry of Commerce, H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Commerce met with H.E. Yuji Kumamaru, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia and accompanied by Mr. Yoshihito Katsuo, First Secretary in charge of Trade of the Embassy of Japan. Minister Sun expressed his appreciation of the presence of Japanese companies in Cambodia and thanked to the Ambassador for his assistance in arranging visits of Japanese delegations to Cambodia. Minister Sun informed the Ambassador that the government wishes to attract investment from Japan in agriculture, food processing, and light manufacturing sectors Minister Sun expressed his support towards the creation of a working group that Cambodian and Japanese business people, as well as investors, can actively participate in with the goal of increasing trade between Japan and Cambodia.
