Jawaharlal Nehru announces Scholarships for Doctoral Studies 2014 4 Applications have been invited for the award of Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund scholarships for the 2014 session. The scholarships are available to the following categories of persons: Ads by Google ________________________________________ a) Indian Nationals for Ph.D study in India; and b) Nationals of other Asian countries for Ph.D study in India Areas of Specialization/Subject for JNMF scholarships 2014: A candidate may apply for scholarship in any one of the following areas of specialization: Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Computer Sciences, Engineering Sciences, and Environmental Sciences, Comparative Studies in Religion and Culture, Indian History & Civilisation, Sociology, Economics, Studies on Jawaharlal Nehru Eligibility Conditions for JNMF scholarships 2014: At the time of making the application for scholarship, a candidate should hold a first class postgraduate degree with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate, already be registered/admitted for Ph.D degree with a recognized University/Institution in India Those who have applied for registration and have not yet been registered at the time of submission of application, are not eligible to apply; not be above 35 years of age at the time of applying; be a full-time Ph.D Scholar have valid GATE /NET score Duration of Scholarship: Ordinarily upto 2 years Value of Scholarship: a) Maintenance allowance including Tuition fee - Rs.12000/- per month b)Annual contingent expenses for study tours within India, purchase of books, stationery, etc. - Rs. 15000/- per annum Application Form: The application form for scholarships for doctoral studies is available at link: jnmf.in/jnmf_scholarship_application_form.pdf The downloaded application form should be supported with a Demand Draft/Postal Order of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of “Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund” payable at New Delhi Completed application form together with all the necessary enclosures should reach Administrative Secretary, Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund, Teen Murti House, New Delhi-110011 during April / May 2014 Enclosures: The candidates should ensure that the following documents are securely attached seriatim to the Application Form before dispatch: a) A passport size photograph to be pasted on the form b) An attested copy of Ph.D registration/admission letter from the College/University c) A synopsis of not more than 1500 words or about 3 pages of 1.5 spaced texts d) University Doctoral Monitoring Committees report or Ph.D Supervisors report as per details required in C-8 of the Application Form e) Attested copies of Postgraduate degree, marksheet and all other educational certificates/ degrees showing marks obtained and the date of birth Please Note: Should be sent along with the completed application form to reach the Fund office during April and May 2014 For further details, visit the website: jnmf.in Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Teen Murti House, New Delhi-110011 Tel: +91-11-23013641, Email: [email protected], Website jnmf.in
