Jay Altarejos topbills summer selection of screenings at UP Diliman Fresh from the raves for the world premiere at the recent Berlin International Film Festival of “Unfriend” – his latest socially relevant feature, independent filmmaker Jay Altarejos top-bills UP Film Institute’s full lineup of summer screenings at the UPFI Film Center in UP Diliman with a twin-bill of previous releases, Ang Laro ng Buhay ni Juan and Pink Halo-Halo. With some eight titles to his directorial credit, Altarejos belongs to the new generation of Filipino film directors who articulate individual compelling experiences that resonate with audiences and refer to the saga of a larger national predicament.
