Jaywalking is illegal for good reason. A 26-year-old New York City woman was tragically struck and killed by a car on Sunday, while crossing mid-block in front of her apartment building. This terrible accident serves as a reminder to us that jaywalking is hazardous and not worth the risk. Always utilize a crosswalk and obey posted signage. Our sympathies and prayers go to the family of the deceased.
