Jean Nouvel delivered his first public lecture in Portugal yesterday, at Fórum do Futuro, in Porto. On this occasion, and though his visit to Porto was a mere 24-hour long, the architect took time to tour iconic buildings such as Casa da Música, authored by Rem Koolhaas, the Braga Stadium, by Eduardo Souto Moura and the Leça Swimming Pools by Álvaro Siza Vieira. In an interview to Portuguese daily Público Nouvel praised the absolutely incredible scale and presence of Souto Mouras project, the discreet subtlety of Sizas work and the strong character of Koolhaas design for Portos iconic concert hall. Under the sign of the architects poetic vision, Jean Nouvels lecture revisited his themes of his Louisiana Manifesto to an enthusiastic audience that filled Portos Rivoli Theatre. via Ípsilon
