Jeff: I know that you can’t comment on pending lawsuits, litigation or the like. But felt compelled to write you a short email based on an article I read today. As a United Airlines alum, and one of the UA93 ground team – I think the firing of 14 flight attendants over something that was clearly not normal and justifiably out of the range of safe – is shameful. For what it is worth and in terms of constructive feedback, I think a much stronger leadership position should have been taken by you on this point. The flight attendants could have been right and if something terrible did happen, the investigation of United by the NTSB later would have been a mortal blow to the company.
