Jenna update: Thanks everyone for all of your support and prayers for Jenna on what was a very difficult and scary day for her. I am happy to report that we are now home and settled in after her endoscopy and intestinal biopsies early this morning at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Surgical Center. Although we were hoping for simple IV sedation for her during this procedure, she did end up having to be intubated when she was unable to breathe adequately on her own; the anesthesiologist thought it was probably related to an earlier cold she has been fighting. Thankfully that was the only complication and she breezed through everything else. Her surgeon stated that we wont likely have the final pathology reports for 7-10 days but she did find a few areas on her small intestine that she believes show signs of celiac disease. Her esophagus and stomach looked good. She has a very sore throat now and a very raspy voice. She ate a little soup and watched half of the movie Frozen before nodding off on the couch. Im hoping she can sleep off the meds and wakes up feeling much better. Thanks again for all of your love...we are truly blessed to be surrounded by such a caring circle of family and friends!
