Jennie, my wife, in about 1962 or so along with some of her other relatives. Jennie is the cute little girl with the short hair that begins and ends the clip. You can tell she is sweet, just by looking at her, which is why I married her! Jennies Mom is also featured about 2/3 of the way through. She has glasses, dark hair and is wearing a red dress. The entirety of this clip takes place in the front yard of Jennies parents home on 60th here in Norman. This is excerpted from a lengthy video shot most by her uncles family on an old 8mm movie camera. Someone had it digitized onto a DVD, but Jennie had not watched it because she felt it might be too painful. However, we got it out because I had just tried to watch some old DVDs I had recorded and they had deteriorated to the point that they were unplayable! So we got the DVD containing this clip out because we were worried it had deteriorated as well. Luckily, it played and we transferred it to our hard drive... So, a word to the wise: Check any old DVDs or CDs that you may have burned to archive data. They can and do deteriorate to the point of complete uselessness, sometimes as quickly as just a few years depending on how they are stored. If you want to archive them on something other than a hard drive or cloud storage, you may want to invest in an M-Disk burner. They look and act just like CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays, but have a different system for burning and are much, much more durable. About $30 will get you an M-Disk burner that can do DVDs and about $80 can get one that will do Blu-Rays. The media is more expensive than regular DVDs and Blu-Rays, but not completely unreasonable.
