Jeremiah 43 sudden destruction Jeremiah 43: 15] And now - TopicsExpress

Jeremiah 43 sudden destruction Jeremiah 43: 15] And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there; 16] Then it shall come to pass, [that] the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. Interesting that the Lord still sanctions them despite all the ministry of the forty years of Jeremiah, He says if you will just abide here, I will protect you. That is quite an offer on the part of God. They are afraid of the king of Babylon because they have been rabble-rousers, they have bloodied the hillsides, they have created nothing but problems for the locals, and they are nervous and frightened of Babylon. Their plan all along as it turns out has been to flee to Egypt, Babylon’s traditional enemy. That was the whole problem under Zedekiah, they kept making God is truly long suffering as he has been warning the world through Jesus that the end is coming and salvation is available to them that would repent and receives Jesus as there Lord and Savior. Yet, the world because of God long suffering towards them thinks that there is “second coming of Jesus” and the world will continue as it always has. God has in times past accurately predicted the current circumstance the world is in, given signs in heaven and on earths “declaring the ending from the begging” in order to warn man yet they like the guy with Jeremiah will choose to disobey even though God Words has been declared to them. Let it be known sudden destruction is determined upon the earth dwellers. 1 Thessalonians 5: 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
