Jersey passed the breathing trials that were measured with the ventilator over the last couple of days so they removed her breathing tube this morning. Unfortunately, she struggled to breathe on her own. They tried an oxygen mask to see if that would help but she was still having problems. A new smaller tube was inserted and she is doing fine now. The issue appears to be swelling in her airway path. She started steriods this morning to treat the swelling. Its expected they will try to remove the breathing tube again on Tuesday. Please pray for better results then so other options do not have to be pursued. We did find out today the issues with her heart and the leaking valve have improved and are of a lesser concern than they were earlier in the week. Yeah! Jersey is resting comfortably this afternoon and she continues to show us how strong she is and we know shes up for the fight!
