Jerusalem-based Israeli NGO looking for a Grants and International Advocacy Associate (please apply via the email provided) The Public Committee Against Torture in Israel (PCATI) seeks a part time (50%) Grants and International Advocacy Associate based in Jerusalem. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the international advocacy team and will work directly with the International Advocacy and Resource Development Officer. Your tasks • Systematically identify, initiate and develop relationships with potential donors and partner organisations, including: o Private foundations o Bi- and multi-lateral international organisations (EU/UN, etc.) o Individuals o Foreign governments (embassies, etc.) • Prepare grant applications for donors (narrative and financial reports, logframes) • Monitor project progress, upon which prepare compliance and donor reports (narrative and financial) • Prepare and attend advocacy meetings (in Israel and occasionally in abroad) • Prepare public advocacy materials, including: o Policy briefs and reports o Newsletters o Public statements/press statements o Case briefings • Provide assistance with the management of PCATIs social media presence Your profile • Minimum BA degree in law, social / political science, communication, international relations, public administration or in a similar field. • Fluency in English (reading, writing and speaking) and fluency or proficiency in Hebrew. Arabic capacities are an advantage as well as additional languages. • At least 1 year of proven professional experience in proposal / report writing to organisational donors or in the field of communication. • Basic experience with budgeting. • Familiarity with the result-based management approach. • Excellent communication and problem solving skills and the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and organisations. • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team. • Commitment to human rights and the principles of PCATI. What we offer • Initially part-time position, 20 hours a week.
