Jessica, I was sitting in the air conditioned building during bible study. My mind would wonder back and forth from it and how Im going to juggle future projects for this media ministry and my first meeting; revamping the churchs website; a clients business website; my fitness; going back to school; familys struggles; vacation ... I forgot. I get home; turn on the TV and check Facebook, then I remembered ... I am living in these times; it didnt hit me when I saw there was war, or earthquakes, or famine, or even the spread of diseases, but when I heard of this, when I saw images of this... I realized it. My heart was overwhelmed sadness for these beloved brethren. In a matter of seconds, all my frustrations turned to nothing. I started to think of these men, women and children. I started to think about their current conditions and I cried at the thought of them being persecuted because of their faith and then I remembered Paul said in Ephesians 3:13-21 So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory. For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. I thanked the Father for His love. I thanked Him because He fulfills His promises. I then remembered Galatians 3:25-29 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christs, then you are Abrahams offspring, heirs according to promise. My heart was suddenly overwhelmed with zeal for this promise, by faith; which NO MAN, NO GUN, NO EXECUTION, NO PERSECUTION can take away. With this I remain encouraged and continue to pray their strength in the Lord. (Thank you Pastor Juan Carlos Diaz for study)
