Jessica wrote--Happy New Years to my family and friends, as 2014 was not the best year for me and my family due to my life changing surgery (right below knee amputation), I did try to stay positive through the experience as each day was very difficult to get through and still is. I feel that the surgery was a success, as the pain I lived with for many years is now better, and I wont have to have all of the procedures anymore. I now have to learn how to adjust with my new self as a piece of me is missing. I truly disliked my leg and wished so many times to never see it again, and I guess that did happen, now I wish that I will learn this year on how to live with a prosthetic leg. My goal is to remain staying positive even on the days that are terrible, which there will be many, but Im hoping within this year that I can accomplish walking with stability and balance and trying harder on being happy within myself. I know a year from now Ill be so use to having a prosthetic leg, that it will be like nothing and thats what Im hoping for. Thank you to everyone that has helped me and my family get through these tough times, it is so appreciated!!! I hope this year is a great year for all!
