Jesus said, If your leaders say to you, Look, the (Fathers) - TopicsExpress

Jesus said, If your leaders say to you, Look, the (Fathers) kingdom is in the sky, then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, It is in the sea, then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Fathers) kingdom is within you and it is outside you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty. - Gospel of Thomas. The early gospels of Christ, which were not included in the Bible and are therefore considered a heresy by Christians, are amazingly close in their content to the Vedic Upanishads. For example, the idea that the heaven is within you, has been clearly expressed in Sama Veda Chandogya Upanishad (8.3.2). Shankaracharya uses the word haarda svarga (the heaven which exists in our heart), see his commentary on Sama Veda Chandogya Upanishad 3.13.6. The very final goal of every teaching in the Upanishads is to enable us to know ourselves. The last sentence above is a verbal translation of the following Mantra from the Shukla Yajur Veda Brihadaranyaka Upanishad (3.9.1): Whosoever, O Gargi, without knowing this imperishable Self departs from this world, is indeed pitiable and poor. The Gospels which have been discovered in the Nag Hammadi library and labeled as Heretic by the Church, such as the Gospel of Judas or the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, are the ones that truly speak to the heart of a Mystic... The Jesus Christ of these Heretic gospels is a true Vedantin. I invite all my Christian friends to at least read them even if it is just for ones. The Jesus Christ of those gospels speaks directly to the heart of our heart. Whatever the Church may say today, they are for sure the direct words of this great saint of humanity, as the text itself attests: These are the secret sayings that the living Jesus spoke and Didymos Judas Thomas recorded. Please note the word Living. Unlike the synaptic gospels, these Gospels were recorded by those who clearly lived with him. It is just that this is not the Jesus created by St. Paul, but the real Jesus as he was. Pic: 1900 years old gospel of Thomas.
