Jets Owners, Sponsors and Charities: I am writing this letter to communicate to you at how disgusted I am that you would give a monster like Michael Vicks an opportunity to have a career in your franchise. For every person that has said he has paid his debt to society most likely does not know the truth, he spent less than 560 days in a federal prison for gambling on dog fights, he never spent a day for animal cruelty in a criminal prison. I don’t know how this can happen? Did you know that he hooked up jumper cables that were attached to a battery to dogs ears and then dump them in a pool for not performing well in a dog fight…should we ask the Jets to do the same to him after a lousy game? Since you seem to be okay with employing a murderer and abuser of animals, I am going to take the following actions for my own peace of mind. - I will no longer keep any Jets memorabilia in my home. (It will all go in the garbage not that I have much since this is a Giants household (but have always supported NY teams in general.)); - No games will be permitted to air in my home that involves your team. Even if by some grace of God or miracle happens and your terrible team actually makes it to the super bowl while you employ this criminal! - Friends and family will not be permitted in my house with any Jets paraphernalia, they can take it off or not come in (it’s their choice); - I will not purchase/donate to your sponsors and/or charities (I will send as many of them a copy of this letter, informing them of my dismay in your support of a man who should not be allowed to walk amongst us in society.); - I ask all of my friends and family to take the same actions and to please stop shopping or donating with anyone involved with the Jets or supports them. I have never been so embarrassed by a NY Franchise, Sponsors and Charities in my life. These poor defenseless animals rely on humans to protect and take care of them. By you giving this monster an opportunity to make millions of dollars off of your Franchise Sponsors and Charities names leaves me to come to the conclusion that you lack the same respect for these animals and acts as equally monstrous as the inhumane criminal that committed the crime! If he did these things to children, would you give him the same opportunities? (Probably not.) Some if not most of today’s American families think of their pets as family members, their Children with paws. Below is an incomplete list of Sponsors that I have come across, that will all get a copy of this too - Weichert Realtors - Pizza Hut - Pepsi - Pandora - Coors - Budweiser - Bank United - Lumix (Panasonic) - Nike - And many more and I will continue to up date my list I also will no longer support any Charity Partnerships that you are affiliated with, such as - Alliance for Lupus Research - Lime Connect - United Way - TEQ - UP2US - Marty Lyons Foundation Lastly, I understand that I may have missed a few companies and/or charities or there may even be spelling or grammatical errors, as this letter was hastily typed out of my passion for animals, safety and nothing else. So please overlook these minor errors and focus on the nature of the message and the public just might forgive you when you fire the criminal!
