Jillian, it sounds me to like you are a REAL writer. From your heart. The idea that you must start from an outline is ridiculous. For years I never used an outline, didnt know how to make one. Now I write them, then put them away and never look at them. And the idea of having a formula!!! Yeow! Too stupid to think about. Ive been asked, What formula do you use? I dont think Ive ever been able to come up with an answer. I just walk away. The characters and the plot determine where the story goes. Listen to your heart, not to people who tell you how to write. Reinalyn, I wish you were here and could be my assistant. I have a long list of stuff I need from Bed Bath and Beyond -- I dont even have light bulbs -- and I need to put a bunch of suitcases in a storage unit downstairs -- as soon as I can get the managing company to answer me about getting the unit. Ive called them 3 times now but no reply. Etc. I cant start my book until all this is done. This is one time when I really wish I had an assistant. As for notebooks, I usually use Levengers Circa binders. I have several that I carry with me. Actually, I have lots of them in every color they make. And I buy any notebook that I find pretty. I have zillions of them!
