Jim....summer months. We drive to some small town in Michigan to pick up a Ryder truck to help my parents move their belongings from their lake house in Sisters Lakes to Hemlock Lake. We arrive. Its stick shift. Im screwed!!! You decide that youll drive this beast. Turns are tight, especially when we get to the Sisters Lake home. You scrape a tree, take out a fence, but plow forward to the front of the house. We unload that place in no time. No looking back, you shift that truck into gear, drive straight to the new place, unload, grab a beer, and, no shit, sit down on the deck and start to write. My hero. Still are.
