Job Opening at The Chicago Bar Association: MCLE Coordinator Position: MCLE Coordinator Department: CLE Reports to: Assistant Executive Director Position Summary: The position is responsible for ensuring that the Association’s education programs qualify for General MCLE and Professional Responsibility credit, as applicable. The position is also responsible for developing, planning, and coordinating special CLE programs as well as coordinating the CBA’s Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentoring Program. SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS: • Act as liaison between YLS and CBA Committee Coordinators and CLE Department regarding committee meetings. • Review committee meeting and seminar notices and materials to determine whether or not MCLE is available, and if so, whether General or Professional Responsibility credit is appropriate. • Complete, submit and follow-up on applications for Professional Responsibility credit from the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism • Calculate and award Certificates of Teaching to all speakers • Review webcasts of committee meetings and seminars for substantive length and assign credit. • Manage quarterly and annual attendance reports to the MCLE Board for accredited providers. • Develop timely, topical CLE programs including recruiting speakers, and drafting descriptions and agendas • Update membership database with appropriate MCLE information • Assist members seeking information about MCLE credits and/or how to earn credits • Administer the Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentoring Program by pairing mentors with mentees, training participants on the structure of the program, arranging quarterly seminars on professional responsibility topics, and organizing networking events. • Assist with any other tasks assigned by the CLE Director Qualifications: Paralegal Certificate or JD degree required. Two to five years legal experience preferred. The CBA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
