Job Opportunity!!! The Mill Theatre seeks to recruit a panel of mediators who will be available to act as attendants/invigilators at arts events within Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. This work is available on a casual, part-time basis. The hourly rate is €10.50. Being a member of the mediator’s panel does not guarantee work or a minimum number of hours in any given month, but it is estimated that an average of 10-15 hours per month will be allocated on a rota basis. Normal working hours will be during weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, so applicants must have flexible availability. Appointment will be conditional on Garda vetting clearance. Job description: • Acting as a key holder for community arts facilities, opening and closing the facility for service users. • Distribute and log equipment; e.g. band rehearsal equipment, ensuring that all equipment is still in place when service user is finished. • Set up of rooms for service users; from time to time it may be necessary of facilitate bookings by moving tables, chairs etc. • Distribute information; it is important that mediators are aware of what is happening in the host facility and is comfortable giving arts information to the general public. • Invigilate at exhibitions and other arts events, supervising artworks and the safety of visitors. • Other duties; it may be necessary for the mediator to assist with any other duties as required.
