Job Position Software Engineer in Nicosia ADITESS is a scientific, consulting and research company whose purpose is to conduct theoretical and applied research and to produce studies, in strategic and in tactical level, on issues concerning Security policies, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Transportation and Cargo Security and Border Management and to develop state of the art applied Security Solutions at the above mentioned areas. Under the supervision of the Research Section and the relevant Project Managers, the Software Engineer will support and assist the work of EU-funded research projects in the field of Security, focusing on the development of software modules and applications. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS • A university degree in a relevant discipline • At least 1 year relevant experience • Detailed knowledge of architectural software design and methods • Detailed knowledge on Object Oriented Programming concept, tools and languages • Detailed knowledge on Web development applications • Proficiency level in the English language • High presentation and contacting skills DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS • Postgraduate studies (Master, or PhD) in a relevant discipline • Knowledge of the operating systems and application development environments to include programming languages and relational database systems that are currently used for modern information systems • Sound Practical Experience with: -modern software design methodologies, e.g. Object Oriented Analysis and Design; -embedding third party commercial software components; -relational databases management systems; -non-procedural database query languages (SQL); -the use of tools for project management; -the use of Configuration Control tools, UML based requirements engineering; • Proficiency in the use of programming languages (e.g C/C++, Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript etc) • Proven experience in EU or National funded research programs Contact: management@aditess, rb@aditess
