Job Posting Bilingual Spanish Counselor/Advocate Family Justice Center- County Courthouse - White Plains Date of Posting: 06/14/13 – AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY Overview of the Work for Full-Time Counselor *If you apply let them know that Elsa Arce referred you. The advocate will work on site at the Westchester County Courthouse in the Family Justice Center program and will provide bilingual, culturally appropriate services for victims of domestic abuse, to include: Hotline response and follow-up, with an emphasis on hotline callers with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Crisis Intervention, Intake, Safety planning, coordination and danger assessments Counseling and/or support groups, Advocacy with Legal, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Immigration, Social Services, Housing, Medical, Educational, Employment and/or other applicable systems Information and referral Translation services Accompaniment to court and/or district attorney, schools, childcare providers, social services, medical providers, housing programs, other domestic violence providers and other applicable systems Outreach targeted to diverse groups Come make a difference in the lives of those wounded by abuse.
