Job Title: Reviser/Self-revising Translator (Spanish), P4 Department/ Office: United Nations Office at Vienna Duty Station: VIENNA Deadline: 20 January 2014 Job Opening number: 13-LAN-UNOV-31163-R-VIENNA (O) These positions are located in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and maybe located at Mission’s Headquarters in Bamako or in the Regional Administrative Offices in Northern Mali (Gao, Timbuktu). MINUSMA is highly complex in terms of size, scope, programmes and operations. The Senior Administrative Officer may report to the Director of Mission Support (DMS), the Deputy Director of Mission Support (DDMS), or the Head of Office (HoO), as appropriate. Education Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business or Public Administration, Finance, Law, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related area. A first-level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Work Experience A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in budget, human resources, finance, general administration, logistics or related field is required. At least two years of experience in a UN common system (peacekeeping, political mission, or UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes) field operation managing complex operations in a post-conflict or conflict environment is required. Hands-on experience with UN administrative/financial policies and practices is required. Proven experience coordinating multiple aspects of mission support functions at the regional level (e.g. outside of a headquarters location) is required. Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in spoken and written English is required.
