#JobOpportunity Vocational Learning-Industry Best Practice Research Intern Location: 118 52nd St. Pittsburgh, Lawrenceville Workforce Development Center Description: This opportunity will explore avenues of vocational learning with focus areas in Veteran’s Affairs and/or Welfare to Work programs. The intern will gain experience in cartwheel research methods, industry networking skills, and program design and presentation. The research will be compiled in a comprehensive report that explores industry best practices and industry desired certifications in specified vocational areas. Goals of the program include designing and implementing curriculum that meets or exceeds industry desired certification to allow for easy transition to meaningful and gainful employment. Desired Skills: Mastery of the English language, independent work ethic, a desire to help others Preferred Major: Education, Social Work, Vocational Education, or other closely related fields Start Date: September 16th 2013 Hours: 10 – 15 hours/week, preferably twice a week in the office.
