Joe Kurrasch tossed six shutout innings and the San Jose Giants scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the sixth en route to a 3-0 victory over the Stockton Ports on Thursday evening at Municipal Stadium. The shutout was San Joses second of the season as the Giants evened their series with Stockton at a game apiece. Kurrasch (5-1) won his fourth straight decision after limiting the Ports to just three hits during his masterful performance. The left-hander, who entered the game to begin the top of the second after Santiago Casillas rehab start, walked one and struck out three. Tyler Mizenko (1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 SO) and Steven Okert (1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 SO) then worked scoreless eighth and ninth innings respectively to complete the shutout.
