Joe here with breaking news: Model and fashion designer LWren Scott, Rolling Stones singer Mick Jaggers longtime girlfriend, was found dead this morning of an apparent suicide in her apartment at 200 11th Avenue in New York City. ABC News has learned that Scotts assistant discovered the designers body hanging from a doorknob in the apartment, and called police at 10:05 a.m. ET. Various online sources list Scotts age as 47. The medical examiner will determine the official cause of Scotts death. No note was found, and no criminality is suspected. Scott began dating Jagger in 2001. A spokesperson for the rock legend tells ABC News Radio that the singer is completely shocked and devastated by the news. The band is currently in Australia, where theyre scheduled to kick off a series of shows Wednesday with a concert in Perth. After a career as a model, the statuesque LWren, who stood six-feet, four-inches tall, moved on to designing clothes. During her successful career, she was responsible for creating dresses worn by such celebrities as Madonna, Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Amy Adams, and Jennifer Lawrence. In February, Scott announced that she had canceled a planned London Fashion Week show.
