Information below! #donatelife MEDIA ADVISORY WHAT: NASCAR driver Joey Gase will meet with those that have been touched by organ and tissue donation to thank them for their support before he races in the NASACAR Nationwide Series at the Kentucky Speedway. Joey will honor recipients, organ and tissue donors and those waiting for a life-saving organ transplant by placing their name and/or photo on his race car. Joey’s car (#52) is sponsored by Donate Life for the NASCAR Nationwide Series at the Kentucky Speedway. WHEN: September 20, 2014 5:45 pm – 6:15 pm WHERE: Parking Lot H at the North end of the race track Kentucky Speedway 1 Kentucky Speedway Blvd Sparta, KY 41086 WHY: Joey’s mother passed away suddenly as the result of a brain aneurysm in 2011. Only 18 years-old at the time, he supported his mother’s decision to be an organ donor, which she had indicated on her driver’s license. Since then, Joey has become a tremendous advocate for organ, and tissue donation. As he competes throughout the country, he also reaches out to NASCAR fans as a champion and ambassador for donation.
