John 10:11-13 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. If we dare to see people as sheep and Jesus Christ as their good shepherd, we will be challenged to live differently. We are challenged because it is our call as well to be good shepherds to the people in our lives that God has placed under our care. 1 John 3:16 says, "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters." (NIV) Take courage, and live your life in service to your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. This will point lost sheep to Christ, and perhaps they will find their way.
