John 14:1-7 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, - TopicsExpress

John 14:1-7 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Promise #1: Jesus is going to His Father’s house. Promise #2: When He gets there, He is making a place ready for us. Promise #3: Jesus is coming again to take us with Him, so that we can be where He is. Promise #4: Jesus is the way to where He is going. Promise #5: No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. With a closer look, I’m sure we could come up with more promises from just these verses. He is everything – He is the narrow gate, and our way to reconciliation with God our Father. In John 8:58 Jesus says, “Very truly I tell you, before Abraham was born, I am!” Matthew 11:27 says, “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
