John 14:12 NKJV [12] Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. James 2:9,13 NKJV [9] but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. [13] For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. 1 John 4:16 NKJV [16] And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Galatians 2:20 NKJV [20] I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. ~Are we truly allowing Christ to live in us?~ This morning, I want us all to ask ourselves a few important questions. How do we view other people? Do we look at someones outward appearance and think...I can NOT believe shes dressed like that!!! How dare her flaunt herself around married men dressed that way!! Ok...lets take it a step further. How do we view sins of others? Do we think....Oohhh...I know what Jesus thinks of him. Or Im glad Im not the one who committed that sin. ??? Ok....first of all, if we are allowing Jesus Christ to live in us, we have to learn to change our way of thinking because what you see listed above....thats the human way of thinking, and we have to transform our minds to Christs way of thinking. You say...what do you mean? Well...rather than casting judgement on people, regardless of what we SEE, we need to learn to look a little deeper. If someone is dressed inappropriately, perhaps there is some hurt way down deep that causes them to need the wrong type validation. So rather than thinking with the mindset.....how dare her! She needs more clothes! We need to think...Oohh, how sad! She doesnt know Jesus. And then do something about it! Rather than throwing stones, remember that we havent always known Him either. We have sin in our own lives, and one of them may be showing partiality by casting judgement. For those of us who are parents, lets think a minute about how we look at our children. They mess up sometimes, but do we for a single minute stop loving them? No! Never! Do we see them as hopeless cases because they got in trouble at school? No! Ok...well, God loves us even more than we are capable of loving these children He gave us. He loved us so much that He gave us Jesus even though He already knew we would be bad kids. He has never given up on us, so who are we to snarl our nose up at anybody else...no matter what we see with our eyes? We have got to learn to look with our heart instead. Lets learn to love the way God intended! God hates sin, but not the sinner. God bless and happy Wednesday!!!
