John Boulous has resigned from his position as Football Federation Tasmania (FFT) CEO. Boulous has resigned to pursue other opportunities interstate. Originally hailing from New South Wales, Boulous will return to his home state with his young family to take up a position in Sydney. Boulous has played a significant role in the many successful achievements Football Federation Tasmania has notched up during his tenure. “I leave very proud of what the game has been able to achieve over the last three and a half years,” Boulous said. “I would like to thank the many stakeholders that have provided excellent support to the round-ball game, in particular our sponsors and media partners for starting the journey with us.” While Boulous will leave FFT he is excited about the position the game is in within Tasmania. “The sport is in wonderful hands with the many committed people we have involved in our game, I leave with lots of many happy memories and friends and will watch with interest as the sport continues to grow. “I would like to thank the Board of FFT for their ongoing support and assistance in my time as CEO and the dedication and effort of a wonderful staff. I would also like to thank the football community for their support and commitment over my time here,” Boulous said. FFT President Sean Collins has mixed emotions about Boulous’ departure. “We were delighted to have John as CEO and while we are sorry to see him leave us, we wish him all the best with his future endeavours. “John and his family relocated to Tasmania in 2010 to undertake the role of CEO and we thank him for all his hard work while at FFT,” Collins said. “John brought a very strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement to the role and was a significant contributor to increasing the profile of the sport in Tasmania.” Collins said the search was on for Boulous’ successor. “The search for a new CEO will commence immediately. We have an ambitious vision for our sport and in fare welling our old CEO we provide an opportunity for someone else with the right skillset, experience and work ethic to help the organisation achieve its goals.” Boulous will remain in the role until the end of October 2013.
