John Daniels eye exam went alright. He still has to have the salve put in his eye each night and the Dr. showed me where it was trying to scar. When the skin was ripped off his eyelid it caused him to scratch and get eyelashes in his eyes which made him want to get them out of his eye so he scratched his cornea and it caused an infection. The Dr. said that it was a lot better. He also said that we needed to wash his eyelid with baby shampoo because his ducts were clogged and he needed them to unclog to help produce tears. He had to have a hearing test today because some of the chemo treatments can cause hearing loss. He passed it with flying colors - the Nurse Practitioner told me that she had never seen anyones hearing improve!! Of course the last time he had a hearing test it was 2 weeks after his surgery and it didnt go well so I believe that would account for the not so good hearing test before. They hydrated him and started his Chemo and he has been trooper the whole time - very proud of my boy. He told me that he wanted chips so I asked him if he wanted his cheese puffs - he said no, so I said what chips are you talking about - he said the salty brown ones I said are you talking about pretzels? he said yes. Little nut!! Dad came home today - his heart is fine. Joscy has bronchitis and cant go back to school until Monday. Just hoping all her fever is gone by Sunday. Brenda Cecil Carla Cecil Rush
