John, Noel, Glenn and I whipped around Twilight Road and Ardmore Quarry Road and straight back to Clevedon today – 29 km in 1 hr 20 mins – couple of scattered showers and strongish winds but not enough to put us off. Then at 1 pm we were joined by Steve P, Steve vW and Nigel and headed down to Kawakawa Bay but on the way John’s mechanical skills were put to the test and he decided to cut his losses and head back home. The rest of us carried on to Kawakawa Bay and then did a right turn up Snake Hill to the top and turned around and headed back to Clevedon – 39 km roughly and not sure of time (25.1 kph I believe) – more scattered showers and wind but it’s harden up time here!!! Next Saturday, 29 June we are racing from the Mauku Hall and we are doing two laps of the long course giving us 32 km – starting at 2 pm. Don’t forget to enter – see all the ways to do so in the email below. Would you also please reply to this email and tell me if you are racing – it helps me to start working on the handicaps.
