John the Baptist was Jesus cousin!! He knew who Jesus was and prepared the way for Jesus confidently; but now in prison, John was doubting due to his circumstances ppl were probably in his ear and so he asked if Hes the Messiah. Jesus didnt get mad at him for doubting He sent the disciples to tell John about the miracles and good things happening. He also said to tell John that God blesses those who dont turn away because of Jesus. Reassuring John wasnt enough because Jesus went on to tell the crowds about how significant John the Baptist was. So when I struggle with doubt or have questions or want Jesus to show out He does because I go to Him I dont turn away when things get rough. Focusing on Matthew 11:6!!! Matthew 11:4-9 NLT Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen— the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of me. ’” As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began talking about him to the crowds. “What kind of man did you go into the wilderness to see? Was he a weak reed, swayed by every breath of wind? Or were you expecting to see a man dressed in expensive clothes? No, people with expensive clothes live in palaces. Were you looking for a prophet? Yes, and he is more than a prophet.
