Johnny G The Business Blogger Open or Not? You Decide. by Joey Bourgoin We are all looking for a sign , any sign that Connecticut is open for business . Is there a legislative proposal out there that helps to change the perception that Connecticut is anti business ? Is there a legislative idea out there that suggests that the state wants to create a pro jobs environment ? Are the legislators reducing the gas tax, or any taxes? How about the pro-union executive orders, any changes there ? How about workers compensation reform? Or the costs of Unemployment compensation that will be passed on to businesses? Everyone knows we have a slow moving environmental protection agency that fails to balance the needs of growing businesses and the environment, are there are reforms suggested there? How about the Labor agency and the mediation process, is it fair and balanced to workers and employers ? Are there proposals to reduce the size of government, cut spending or reduce the borrowing that is out of control ? What do you hear ? .........Crickets?
