Join us at the Octagon Barn Star Party, this Friday, June 27th, 8pm Our Friday, June 27th featured speaker will be Glenn Coilek, A research astrophysicist at RPIs New York Center for Astrobiology, a member of NASAs Astrobiology Institute. He will present Outflows and Shock Waves in Star-Forming Interstellar Cloudsat 8 pm followed by outside observing, weather permitting. Glenn studies star formation which is the process by which dense regions within molecular clouds in interstellar space, sometimes referred to as stellar nurseries or star-forming regions, collapse to form stars. Glenn will explain outflows, shocks, & star-forming clouds. The barn is located at 588 Middle Road, Delanson, New York 12053. Our speaker presentation takes place regardless of weather conditions.
