Joining forces for the Youth of the Western Downs The Apex Club of Chinchilla has joined forces with the Chinchilla Family Support Centre (CFS) and Youth Insearch to open a much needed Youth Hub. Based here in Chinchilla the Hub will be taking over the premises currently occupied by CFS. The Apex Chinchilla Youth Hub will be open to service and support all young people across the Western Downs. The Youth Hub will be a facility that offers various programs and services for young people. It will be a comfortable, safe place for young people to come and spend time. Following the Youth Forum and Survey held earlier this year in April, it was clear that there was a need for a youth space. The collaboration and hard work of these three organisations will finally bring this to fruition. There is still a lot of work to be done and money to be found to keep the Hub operational but for now the future looks very promising with the doors due to open in January, 2015.
