Jon + Athena // Wedding Film // Colorado BEST DIY WEDDING EVER!!! This fantasy inspired wedding was hosted in the familys backyard which sits along side an enchanting creek bed thick with grasses and trees. A truly perfect backdrop for the festivities. Fabric flags of alternating patterns strung amidst the trees casting playful shadows upon us. Swing music spun from the speakers, a selection of hand-crafted hard teas and an assortment of treats flowed freely. A whimsical array of candy in glass containers featured delicacies such as Leprechaun Luck Drops, Droobles best Blowing Gum, Siriusly Stellar Fruit Novas and Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. So much thought went into this very special day, every detail was rich in reference to things such as Harry Potter, Star Wars and comic books. Athena, in her stunning vintage dress and Jon in his black and white converse exchanged their vows beside the creek in the late afternoon sun. An intimate group of friends and family were lucky enough to witness this magical event, and when I say magical I mean just that. At the ceremonys end, Jon & Athenas officiant grabbed his wand and placed a wizards hat upon his head to properly announce this newly married couple. Torches, Indian food and cakes topped with dinosaurs in bow-ties and lace made you feel like you were in another place and another time...in the future...in the past...somewhere else indeed. Lawn games, coloring books, party masks and classic games like Hungry Hippos helped made this wedding nothing short of FUN, even wild horses, beavers and Iron Man popped their heads out to be a part of this truly magical day! This was a day Ill never forget!
