Jonathan is a wonderful human being. I had several dinners and coffees with him beforehand to talk about it and even a good cry with him as we stood in Kilmainham at dawn before the scene. By the time I walked on to the scaffold I hope I did have that phenomenal air of dignity that Anne had because she went out in the most incredible manner. It was one of the best experiences of my career so far – Natalie Dormer (About her audition for The Tudors) I walked away thinking well, if I don’t get the job it doesn’t matter, I’ve kissed Jonathan Rhys Meyers! - Natalie Dormer When Jonathan Rhys Meyers walked into the room I was like ‘mmmm ok, I’ll happily settle for that!’ – Natalie Dormer Chemistry was of significance and important and Jonny and I just hit it off. Within five minutes of meeting him we were doing love scenes. I mean, this is the actors life! – Natalie Dormer Young, incredibly attractive, vibrant male with a lot of energy, a lot of intelligence and wit. Charisma. The parallels just speak, its method acting – he’s cheating! He’s got such intensity, such focus. You get drawn into it. It’s easy to play a woman who becomes infatuated with him. He sucks you in. Those eyes and.. it’s easy - Natalie Dormer The question I always get is, what was it like to kiss Jonathan Rhys Meyers you lucky cow? What can I say, he was great to kiss. Good lips. It was embarassing actually I forgot my lines I got so lost in it. There was a silence all around me and I thought why is everything so quiet and then said, oh it’s me isn’t it? – Parminder Nagra, Bend It Like Beckham Jonathan is the absent of the film, Once we met him he was always going to be Finbar. He had this quality, this heady mixture of youth, passion and vulnerability – David Collins, Producer of The Disappearance of Finbar Jonny is so fantastic. He plays the tyrant so plausibly but what people do not know is that he is very amusing. He brings everyone to laughter and supports new actors on the set. He always asked questions such as which crisps I hate the most and I said, hmm that would probably be cheese and onion. They’re the most revolting ones. The next scene was a kissing scene and who’d have this, he had a mouth full of cheese and onion crisps to kiss me. Kind of funny Jonny! – Annabelle Wallis Jonathan is a truly great actor. He is gorgeous to look at, he’s smoldering and tense and full of conflict and passion. Jonathan is a guy who can’t go to the corner to buy a newspaper, you know, he’s so full of feeling and so full of intensity all of the time and he’s able to just let it out on screen. This is a wonderful thing, I mean Marlon Brando had that kind of depth to the maximum and he’s got it. He’s got enormous, enormous power – Woody Allen, Director of Match Point Jonny is like a young Peter O’Toole. If Lawrence of Arabia were being cast now he’d definitely have a shot. He is the most glamorous actor I’ve ever come across - Andy Wilson, Director of Gormenghast
