Jonathan’s Shocker to Bukola Saraki: You may Vacate Before 2015 ----------------- President Goodluck Jonathan today, in a subtle reference to an ongoing legal battle at the Supreme court against the seat of a former Governor of Kwara state and Senator representing Kwara central senatorial district, Sen. Bukola Saraki, declared that certain elective positions in Kwara may be recaptured before the 2015 general elections. President Jonathan made this disclosure when some elders and stakeholders of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara state paid him a thank-you visit at the State House in Abuja over the historic rally the PDP had in the state. An E-kwaras correspondent reports that the President, who was visibly elated, said he was hopeful that the party might test its test with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state before the 2015 general elections. “In 2015, we will know who owns Kwara and if God gives us the opportunity, which I believe we will even test our strength before the 2015 general elections.” Although the President did not specifically mention names, but political analysts believe that his statement was a direct allusion to the contentious seat of Sen. BUKOLA Saraki, which is still being contested at the Supreme Court by Alhaji L.A.K. Jimoh. In the realization of this, the President said that the National headquarters of the party would assist and support the state with all the resources at its disposal. He also encouraged the Kwara PDP not to despair but to hold firm to the mandate of the party in Kwara, promising that he would do all within his power to recapture the state back to the PDP fold. Speaking earlier on behalf of the group, an elder of the party in the state and appellant in the suit against Saraki at the Supreme Court, Alhaji LAK, made copious allusions to his case in court, insisting that with the help of God, Bukola Saraki may not go back to the Senate. He promised that the state will back Jonathan for 2015 Presidential election. He told the President that without a sitting PDP governor in the state, they will remain like orphans
