Jordans employment market is atrocious. Since I have been in Jordan, being a Muslim revert did not ascertain privilege. On the contrary, it was an instrument to exploit me. The moment it really struck me, is when an American teacher - while my classroom door was open during a lecture-was begging the secretary of a language center directly outside my door for his salary, I have no money to return home. I am sleeping in the streets or from apartment to apartment. I just want my salary to go home! The secretary retorted the owner was not in. When this former teacher left, I immediately went to knock on the door of the owners office and was met with a come in. I will never , ever, forget that moment. Unfortunately, I cant say that I have never seen repeats of similar incidents. Some businesses in Jordan are great. Others, illegal is a euphemism. beforeitsnews/international/2013/03/on-the-kings-agenda-for-reform-in-jordan-the-american-esl-center-a-professional-nightmare-video-2454290.html?utm_content=awesmsharetools-fbshare-small&utm_term=http%3A%2F%2Fb4in.info%2FravV&utm_campaign=&utm_source=http%3A%2F%2Fl.facebook%2Fl.php%3Fu%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fb4in.info%252FravV%26h%3DmAQGdWzaLAQEhjUuji3GK_FCbrcyCmZpZ2Ar110L6FvDKVQ%26enc%3DAZMAsmzj1g0l9nGciV6falLLA8XUt0dbU8qNjv-N-xXvXvbv7EWvOisaVpzJsxGDAMdo5dSib4ygWbUpnBuH6aUY%26s%3D1¤tSplittedPage=0&utm_medium=facebook-post
