Joseph Schoborg is a Senior majoring in Theatre with an emphasis in both Performance and Drama & Theatre for Youth. Joseph is originally from Marshalltown, Iowa and discovered a passion for theatre while participating in a production of The Laramie Project. His passion for theatre grew as he discovered the numerous opportunities available in the theatre industry. During his time at UNI he has performed in six main stage productions, most recently Mauritius and the upcoming Love & Information, served as President of the UNI Student Theatre Association and has also worked backstage in various capacities. Joseph is currently serving as a Teaching Assistant in the UNI Costume Studio, the Assistant Student Festival Coordinator for the Iowa Thespians Festival held at UNI, as well as a Teaching Assistant to Gretta Berghammer in her Full STEAM Ahead grant project. This past summer Joseph worked as an Education Intern at the Omaha Theater Company in Omaha, Nebraska teaching youth of all different ages and abilities. Joseph will graduate in December of 2014 and this spring he will continue to work as a both an Actor and Teaching Artist at the Lexington Childrens Theatre in Lexington, Kentucky where he will serve as a Contract Actor for two of their touring productions and an Educator in their classrooms.
