Joshua this morning. He has been doing ok. They lowered his oxygen on vent yesterday an last night an 4 this morning his heart went down an he stopped breathing. He didnt require CPR just some stimulation an everything improved. Doctor said its because he has gotten lazy, just relying on vent to do all work an when it doesnt well hes lazy an doesnt wanna do it himself, thus the stop breathing. so today gonna lower it a tad more an keep trying to wean him off. they want him to realize hes got to start back doing the work. they gonna lower meds, start letting him come to alittle more today. so he will try breathing more on his own. the meds keep his heart lower than normal so another reason gonna increase an that to with other things should start getting him back on track breathing. He is up to max on his feeds (by tube of course) an tolerates well, his blood pressure is great, his urine out put, and his cultures came back negative so its mainly getting the virus to finish running its course an support him till its done. However hes gotta start back doing all work on his own they did say its not uncommon to end up needing CPR during this weaning process so it could happen, pray it doesnt cause that is so frighting! but they want u to know what you could expect. Each day his lungs have improved so another good sign as well. If all goes well an he has good day an night its possible they could remove vent tomorrow or at least by Thursday. Depending on flow he needs after will determine if he moves to a room or stays in ICU. also determines if he will take bottle or continue tube. certain pressures are to strong an could push formula into lungs so thats why itll depend. And which one he goes on depends on him an the suppirt he will need. boy this is something id hate see any parent go through, an here at christmas too, not only emotionally, but physically an even financially as well.... Praying thing turn around VERY SOON.. thanks for everyones prayers an support, an continue to keep us in prayer! thanks
