Jr. Pirate Football & Cheer Families: As most of you know, October is breast cancer awareness month. Every year we take donations and use that money to honor some of our Jr. Pirate Families who have beaten cancer or are currently fighting the good fight. Starting tomorrow, September 10, we will begin our Coins for Cancer drive. We will continue collecting money (coins and bills) through October 28. However, this year we will be doing it as a contest to see which division raises the most money. The level that raises the most money will earn a pizza party paid for by the league. The pizza party is something fun for the kids to motivate them to ask neighbors, family, and friends to donate to the cause. The goal and purpose of the donations is to honor and give back to some of our Jr. Pirate Families. There will be 4 jugs at the gazebo during practice and at our last few home games. There is one for each division of football and cheer combined: Mascots/Starts, Rookies, JV, and Varsity. Whenever you have coins or money, just drop it in the jug for your childs division. The money will be counted and every penny donated to a few of our families. As the end of October gets closer, we will let everyone know when the presentations will be made. We hope that everyone will participate and help us show some love to our Jr. Pirate Families. Thank you for your support
