Judge Judy is a very wise as well as entertaining lady. She is an international reality show star where she sits in her American courtroom, with her staunch sidekick Bert forever by her side. A few days ago she dropped her pearly words of wisdom into the ears of a squirming young man who had thought hed a water tight case against a rather young and foolish defendant. However, our great lady swiftly enlightened him on an aspect of the law she said he would most certainly remember in the future. It says she began softly with just a hint of a smile, When you come to court you must have clean hands, which means that you must be a 100% sure you havent done anything the opposition can use against you It was then, much to the amusement of the courtroom she blasted him with, But you didnt come to the court with clean hands did you? as she very loudly proceeded to expose a list of crimes far worse than his poor defendants When David Cameron took the moral high-ground when he berated the French President for selling ships to Russia it wasnt only one person who immediately accused him of hypocrisy.Practically the whole of the EU, (who had no doubt been waiting for their chance to do him down) reminded him of Britains rapidly increasing arms deals in which he has far from clean hands, Not only have the cries of hypocrite resounded from abroad but from his own country, where he and his party have feted the Russian Oligarchs (many who have ties to Putin) to an obscene degree. Somehow I cant help thinking our Mr Cameron should spend a little time in an American courtroom as Judge Judy gently asks Have you really got clean hands ,Prime Minister? Then we could all relax and watch the smiling and ever quizzical look on Berts face as he gleefully awaits this great ladys condemnation begin, But you didnt come to Court with clean hands, did you Mr. Cameron?... Judge Judy, the EU or Labour still smarting from his attack on them for having funds from the unions? not much to choose from is there Mr Cameron?. Still, as Judge Judy reminded us, that is what we get when we dont check if our hands are clean before we come to court. .Just a thought, |Joan Langrick. . .
