Judges of the high court have varied experiences, inclinations and - TopicsExpress

Judges of the high court have varied experiences, inclinations and areas of speciality. These differences / varied strengths are acrued through their studies of the law or their practical application of the law in the private practice or elsewhere. While judge A may be strong and comfortable with criminal matters, judge B may prefer to deal with labour matters. Consequent to this, litigants who litigate on a criminal matter may be comfortable with judge A over judge B. after all, who said judges are jacks of all trade. In this context, I find nothing wrong in forum / judge shopping especially in the scenario of our judicial system. This is not tantamount to greasing of hands or being Executive Mided.
