Judgment in editing is not self censorship . It is about a vision of what is good for children and families and America and deciding not to create harmful messages. That judgment concerns values. As an artist and writer to allow just the dollar of the audience to decide the message art is being a narcissistic money grabber not an artist with a good vision for American art. As in all of these issues it begins with the rights of educated citizens to exercise their own judgment and control foe the greater good. You have freedom of speech but not the right to endanger others by shoutingfire in a crowded theater.
