Julie Williams Design #juliewilliamsdesign was selected as one of the design firms to develop a palette and inspiration story for one of the new Cambria countertop colors. The new colors were being unveiled at an event held at the Winery SF on Treasure Island last evening. We were given the color Nevern which is a creamy top swirled with coppers, browns, burgundies and taupe. It is a beautiful countertop material which inspired us to design a writers retreat for a Hemingway-like client. We imagined an open cabin plan in the Tahoe forest with views of the lake and a crackling fire in the background. We selected a reclaimed barn wood door for the kitchen with the Nevern countertops with a worn leather writing chair and and a burgundy painted door for a hefty desk. To compliment the above we added antique brass hardware, rich brown leather and burgundy woven fabrics with caramel colored tile. It was fun to see what everyone else pulled together and see full slabs of the new colors. The whole team went, thank you Shawn Gernhardt and Debbie Norris for helping to pull it all together.
