July 11, 2014 PM; SUNSET MANNA SPIRITUAL APPETIZERS: INSPIRED THOUGHTS THEME: “LOVE” * Titus reminds us that once we were foolish, disobedient, serving different lusts, and living in malice and envy. Now the kindness and love of God has appeared and saved us not by works of our righteousness but according to his mercy. Our enemy had intended our destruction and to bury us in an early grave. Our Savior, who is the resurrection and life, had other ideas. The Lord made every trap the enemy had set for us ineffective. Jesus kept us from things that would have altered his purpose in us. Sin had condemned us and sentenced us to a life-long torture chamber, but grace liberated us to live in a palace of love and faith. (Don Grigsby) * Set before us are blessing and cursing, life and death, heaven and hell. We are the deciding factor. Love has made a way by the cross that we would never have to be locked away in the torment of an eternity without God. Our choice is to love God first and forever. Other choices will lead us away from the kingdom and into deception. Deception comes in many forms. Our flesh has the potential to be drawn in by its many schemes. Love has made a way of escape from the traps of death. We will walk the paths of obedience, and we will not yield our members to unrighteousness. The gates of hell shall not prevail against those who are in the midst of the church of the living God. Our only way and hope is in Jesus Christ. (Don Grigsby) * Rejoice during this time of persecution and suffering by the hand of hatred, which has made you sad. You will reap a harvest of joy soon. Behold the season of joy. It comes in the morning of your faith. Faith arrives in the bosom of love. The bosom of love has come to you with its gentle embrace. Be caressed by love and rest on its pillow of peace. The power of God is yours. This power is the resurrection power. By this power, you shall surely fly away with him as he departs into eternity with his body. * Lift your heart to God, and then will your ears and your eyes be lifted. You must go beyond what you say with your lips and what you do in your body. You must actualize these things in your heart first. Receive the Lord’s righteousness and cast down your self-righteousness. Cast away your rags of filth, and be washed with the fullers soap of love and the washing of regeneration. God is pouring out his Spirit, but have you come to the shower of love or to your face bowl of carnality? * There is no instrument that will measure God’s worth. The value system of the kingdom of God is not the same as the value systems of the world. Come to the marketplace of fiery trial and weigh the worth of experiences found in the treasures of fire. He has not allowed you to go down to the low pit of destruction, but he has continually expressed love toward you, even when you were disobedient and ignorant. He has sent forth the surging power of his knowledge and allowed you to eat again of lifes bread. He has placed bread on the platter of your praises. Will you eat and drink without the leaven of hypocrisy and unbelief? * God has brought you out of the religious performances of the age and placed you before a throne of grace. Before this throne, you are elected because of love and not because of religious advantage. Come and behold the light of truth in this large room for your habitation. This light will not shine in vain, for it cannot be turned unto vanity. The light of truth has shined and glorified Jesus, the only Lord God. * Many seek to place their names in mans book of life, but mans book is a book of death, not a book of life. If you have hope only in this life, then you will be miserable. Hope in mans way is a pit and a prison house. Come to your tree of life and pick from God’s hands, the fruit of the tree of life. He has offered you true love instead of lust. He has offered you true humility instead of pride. Choose today whose hand you will eat from. The enemy that was in the garden still offers lust and pride to deceive and corrupt. He is offering you grace and righteousness. Eat from the hands of life and not from the hands of death.
