July 16 2014 Life Dealing Prayer Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No man has ever seem God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.(1 Jn 4:11-12) Beloved. Little Children. Enter into the Word of John. Feel the Words flow about you and allow them to go where they will. Within their realm one may indeed find the hurt of a group of believers cut off from others. The Gospel and Its students may flicker with sarcastic anger rippling through the incandescent light of Revelation experienced. One may indeed find the culmination of traditions flowing from Matthew and Mark and Luke witnessing a glorious ascent of the Law into Its completion. What does the modern then seek in the Gospel? Some waver within the demand for the end to suffering now, while others dream of the New Jerusalem shimmering amidst the clouds. Mocking one while defending another becomes meaningless when one seeks to embrace the foundations of those desires. here a heart is so wounded by the flesh that it must seek heaven. Another growls in anger at pain inflicted time and again. It is in these ways that the Powers of the Word find their victory. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No man has ever seem God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.(1 Jn 4:11-12) We find hearts mocking methods of learning. We hear the noise of souls troubled by neglect leaving their children directionless. We find minds so doubtful that all they can do is to lash out at a society into which we dream of entered but cannot because of fear. We hear political discourse sliding...sliding lower into shrill monotones of delusion. We hear the new idolatry crying out that if my hopes are frustrated then the other side must have cheated. And the other side cheated by exposing the ludicrous stupidity of the sheep. The sheep are never responsible, for they are ignorant or misguided or persecuted. No longer are we humans united in our struggles of life, but rather mobs of isolated groups of gays; of women; of blacks; Hispanics; on and on and on. We continue down a path of so called evolution in which life is no longer dignified. Life requires no longer labors or achievements. We all are entitled to dignity simply for breathing and our breath is for sale to the highest bidder. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No man has ever seem God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.(1 Jn 4:11-12) By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his own spirit.(1 Jn 4:13) We again find shelter in the Scripture flowing through the fabric of our existence leading back into the darkness of Creations infancy outward toward the endless potential of unknown and innumerable futures. What price is gained by our endless bickering? What movement toward perfection is the mockery of talents which we have not been able to master? Should the artist condemn the musician? Should the Poet turn rage against the chemist? Is it possible for the mathematician to claim superiority over the philosopher? Why, then, do we seek the end rather than the beginning? Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No man has ever seem God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.(1 Jn 4:11-12) By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his own spirit.(1 Jn 4:13) We listen to the Life of Christ Jesus and find it possible to condemn the weak? We hope to understand the Law by building endless labyrinths in which to hide the simple directions? Do we invoke Karma when it suits us? Do we condemn our children to the same swamp that sucked our individual dreams into the muck of fear? Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No man has ever seem God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.(1 Jn 4:11-12) By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his own spirit.(1 Jn 4:13) Beloved. Little Children. Feel the mystery revealed to John and to those who entered into his groups. Feel the warmth of the human seeking to follow the path and the way and the truth. If only...If only we can love one another, then we enter into God abiding in us...And listen to the terrified cries of children afraid to love...Afraid to love...Afraid to love revealing the depths of the child wounded by the world. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No man has ever seem God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.(1 Jn 4:11-12) By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his own spirit.(1 Jn 4:13)
